Professor Alexander (Sasha) Govorov is Professor Emeritus of Physics at Ohio University, a member of the APS, and a member of EurASc. He is visiting UTT to focus his research on nanostructures for applications in nanophotonics.

A Fulbright scholar, Professor Alexander Govorov from Ohio University (OHIO) is visiting UTT to focus his research on nanostructures for applications in nanophotonics. Since 2013, OHIO has maintained a long-standing collaboration with UTT, combining its expertise in advanced quantum and photonic computing with UTT's high-level experimental capabilities, modeling experience, and industrial relationships in the Grand Est region.

UTT programs, notably the Graduate School (EUR) NANO-PHOT master's degree and the Light, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies Laboratory (L2n, CNRS-UMR 7076), offer an ideal environment for conducting high-impact research in synergy with students. Joint publications and projects, the annual UTT-Ohio workshop, and the META international conference symposiums are evidence of a fruitful collaboration between OHIO/L2n/NANO-PHOT that is set to continue in the future.
